You Know What I Hate?

Water levels in Mario. They are inevitably in every Mario game. They've been there since the beginning.

Things got even worse when Mario made the transition to 3D.

In 2D, you are defenseless unless you have a fireflower. In 3D, you are defenseless (maybe you can punch?). In both cases, the levels are slow, tedious, and sometimes Mario is difficult to control. The control issues are especially nerve-racking in the 3D Mario games.

I don't intend to say too much other than FUCK YOU UNDERWATER MARIO LEVELS.

I recently picked up Super Mario Galaxy 2, and I can already tell you I will hate the water stages. What do you guys think?

  1. I must say that I feel that it is the water levels that challenge the player the most. I do feel they are more difficult, but I like that Nintendo keeps them in the game. I've played Super Mario Galaxy 2, and I must say that the game is amazing on so many levels that if you were to give it a chance, you would disregard the water levels and appreciate it for the awesome game that it is. Also, who can deny how awesome the music for the water levels has been in all the Mario games?
